The Integrity Unit acts as a focal point to manage issues concerning integrity in six (6) core functions as follows:
GOVERNANCE
To ensure the implementations of the best governance; and
Manage the Anti-Corruption Committee (JAR) Meeting at the university level.
INTEGRITY STRENGTHENING
To ensure inculcation, institutionalisation and implementation of integrity within the oraganisation.
DETECTION AND VERIFICATION
To detect adn verify complaints of criminal misconduct, the violations of the University's code of conduct and ethics adn ensure that appropriate follow-up action is taken; and
To report criminal misconduct to the relevent law enforcement agencies.
COMPLAINT MANAGEMENT
To receive and respond to all complaints/information on criminal misconduct and violations of the University's code of conduct and ethics.
COMPLIANCE
To ensure compliance with the laws and regulations in force.
INVESTIGATION
To investigate and verify complaints concerning criminal misconduct, corruptions, abuse of power, malpractice and violations of the code of conduct and ethics by the UMK community.
